The National Book Festival with the Library of Congress

Washington D.C.

The Library of Congress and the Wick Poetry Center collaborated together to bring the Traveling Stanzas exhibit to the 2018 National Book Festival. Thousands of visitors engaged with Emerge texts curated by LOC librarians with a focus on rare books and manuscripts. Over 250 Emerge poems were created over the course of the day.

Adults and children alike read historical texts excerpts from of the Library of Congress archives. They then created expressive responses using the Traveling Stanzas Emerge application.
